The exhibition presented 32 sheets selected from the extensive collection of English drawings (a total of 237) formed by Herbert Percy Horne between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The exhibition represented another step in rediscovering and revealing the merits of the drawing collection formed by the English art historian and connoisseur, a less familiar aspect of his collecting activity best known for its focus on Renaissance art. The wealth of manuscripts and printed materials found in the Foundation library and archives demonstrate Horne\u2019s profound interest in 18th and 19th century English masters, with particular reference to landscape art.
