Anthony Foster receives an invite from a dear friend, a horse\u00a0lover (and for this reason a \u201cknight\u201d) to re-design, decorate and\u00a0buy artworks for a \u201cshelter\u201d, a villa, starting the job from scratch.\u00a0For Anthony Foster, the task provides an opportunity to\u00a0work in complete freedom, having a dialog with the linguistic\u00a0variety of our times, free from any obligation with respect to\u00a0periods and genres. The result is a structured space, which is at\u00a0the same time eccentric and fluid, characterized by a clear atmosphere\u00a0and a simple formality, classic in terms of symmetry,\u00a0layout and brightness.
\nThe majority of the artworks \u2013 statues and amphorae coming\u00a0from Greece and Ancient Rome, paintings by the Italian and\u00a0European masters of the XVI century, paintings of modern masters,\u00a0Persian carpets of great value, and many more-, have been\u00a0traced in Europe and America in the antique market, in private\u00a0collections and auction houses. However, most of the furniture\u00a0and many accessories are a testimony of the \u201cMade in Italy\u201d: a\u00a0made-to-order production inspired by a solid and notorious artisan\u00a0tradition, marked by sobriety and formal perfection, by the\u00a0exceptional quality of materials and creation, which manifests\u00a0itself in the smallest details, for example in the finishing touches.
