I bozzetti michelangioleschi della Casa Buonarroti

,

edited by P. Ragionieri
with a preface by L. Berti

Among the art collections which constitute the heritage of the Casa Buonarroti, that of the bozzetti, which was rediscovered in the 19th century by the last heirs of the Buonarroti, is not only extremely precious, but also shrouded under a cloak of mystery which this catalogue aims at lifting.

The ten bozzetti, among which are authentic masterpieces, are here portrayed and studied in detail. After a complex and substantial restoration, the works are now on display in a completely refurbished room which allows the visitor to appreciate fully their three-dimensional beauty.
