Un viaggio per cambiare l’Italia

Matteo Renzi, the mayor of Florence, travelled in a camper to discover Italy, as he wanted to meet people, understand their needs and grasp their problems – but also their dreams and aspirations. The journey unfolds over the course of 80 pages, in which the leading figures are the countless men and women who filled theatres and squares, rediscovering the joy of participating. In his introduction, Renzi writes, “Change is within our reach and has never been closer.” And in order to implement it, “we took to the streets, outside the places of power, outside the concept of life annuities and privileges.” He explains that in this electoral campaign he “met the very heart of the country: the real and beautiful one. The one that suffers, tries and ultimately succeeds.”
