Mini Chef
Juniorillustrations by Sara Gitto
text by Sandra Rosi
This collection of recipes is designed to accompany every child’s first cooking experiences. Cooking is fun, creative and relaxing. It sparks your imagination and stimulates your appetite. Most importantly, it is a pleasure to share with others. The cookbook offers a series of dishes, chosen among the most delicious and easiest to prepare of the Italian culinary tradition. They are dishes that can be prepared with the help of an adult or simply under adult supervision. That’s why the level of difficulty is indicated for each mini-chef recipe. One after the other, we find recipes for pizza dough and pizza, tomato sauce and Mediterranean penne, potato topini (gnocchi), meatballs, beef straccetti with courgettes, fish roll-ups and Florentine schiacciata. Naturally, there are also instructions to make a handy chef’s hat. The recipes are accompanied by rich watercolours by Sara Gitto, an illustrator of children’s books who has worked on numerous projects and publications.
